A message from Anne Watts

I would like to say to Erin and all the organising committee and the helpers and the bands etc etc that we Wattsies had a really
fantastic time out at "Cripple Creek' on the weekend. Thanks to all for putting on an excellent 'Feggstock II'. Ian would have
been extremely chuffed. It was great to see Rosie, she enjoyed being the centre of attention; and it was terrific to have the
chance to catch up with friends from far and wide. Feggs was most unusual in the way that he nurtured friendships.
I, who was way too young to be allowed to join 'The Dora Street Gang', now get to reap the benefits!
Bring on Feggstock III, I say!!

Additionally, the weekend was a really important part of the healing process, particularly for Mum who is broken-hearted.
All concerned showed tremendous generosity and love. What a great way to celebrate a life and keep remembering a top bloke.
As Jeff Fenech would say ... 'Luv Ewes All' xoxoxo

PS - Erin: Janene, Sleazel and I wish to insist upon paying for our T-shirts. We are happy for the money to go towards the
party OR to a charity, SO please send us your address so we can post a cheque (or bank account details for direct transfer
if that suits you better). xoxo

PPS - Christian: I didn't see Phil out there (mostly because I don't know what he looks like; so I don't know if he was there).
Did you sort out with him regarding the site he set up last year?

Official Feggstock 09 Update!

Dear Feggstockers,
This is the last newsletter before the big event!
almost everything is in place.
The band 'Repeat Offenders" are scheduled to start out at Cripple Creek at around 8pm in the evening. Before they start we are having a few other people play during the afternoon and this will include Cecelia and Rocky Rochelli.
I hope that everyone who should know about Feggs Memorial will have been informed by now.
The final cost for the Poker Run will be $20 and that will include lunch during the run, a donation to one of Feggs charities, and entry to the Cripple Creek get together.
For those who are unable to participate in the Poker Run we are asking for a donation to be made at the gate of Cripple Creek, we hope you will dig deep and find it in your heart to give at least a small note donation..$5to$10 depending on your situation. We have yet to designate a charity but it will be towards a greenie themed organisation.
We also hope to recoup some of the outgoing costs for the day however this is being kept to the minimum as people have been kind to donate stuff eg the toilets etc.
We will be providing some food for those who are unable to bring supplies along and there will be a small cover cost for that.
We have tried to think of everything ..
We will have limited T shirts available for sale at a very reasonable $20-00 each. All profits for this will go directly to charity.
If you need to contact someone for any more details you can call Erin on 02 6361-4229.
Safe Travels for those coming from afar, looking forward to seeing you all next weekend...
Regards and love from Erin and the Feggstock organising gang..

21/1/09 - Feggs' Birthday.
Hello to one and all and welcome to the official blog for the late Ian Watts

As the date draws nearer to the 1st anniversary of his passing, rumors and hearsay abound of a gathering for loved ones, both family and friends for a celebration of Ian's life.

As it stands, Cripple Creek is the intended venue for the gathering, most likely on the second weekend of March 09.

Dates and details are being discussed at present and will be posted as they come to hand.

At this stage the following ideas have been put forward.

  • Feggs Memorial Motorcycle Run beginning with the boys from the sunshine coast (Floss, Rosco, Dizzy, etc etc, collecting Christian and Dean (F'N'C FC MC) from the Far North Coast of NSW, and anybody else along the way culminating in a.....
  • Feggstock Mk2 Event at Cripple Creek with music, fun and frivolity - an open invitation to anyone who would like to attend, with a charity donation to a suitable organization.
As mentioned before, details are being discussed at present and any input from anyone is invited. The best way to put your ideas forward are either to post a comment on this blog or email feggsblog@gmail.com
Please forward this page on to anyone you think may be interested and if you would like to go onto the mailing list, please email to feggsblog@gmail.com
